Main Card (Fuel TV)
Welter weight: Che Mills (14-5-1NC) 170lb vs. Duane Ludwig (21-13) 169lb
This is a striker vs. striker match if it goes 3 rounds it could be an easy pick for fight of the night, both guys bang and both guys have a combined 16 KO’s. Mills is coming off a loss to future champ Rory MacDonald, but before that he rolled off 5 wins in a row with 3 first round finishes. Ludwig a standout kickboxer, is coming of back to back 1st round finishes and needs to win cause he could be flirting with a release.
Lightweight: Paul Sass (13-0) 156lb vs. Matt Wiman (14-6) 156lb
Sass the submission specialist is undefeated and on the verge of a very big fight he has only been to the 3rd round once in his career and has 12 submissions. Wiman will look to test Sass’s ability to last in to the 3rd round with 7 decisions in his career, he is 4-1 in his last 5 with his coming by way of a decision to Dennis Siver
Bantamweight: Brad Pickett (21-6) 135lb vs. Yves Jabouin (18-7) 136lb
One punch and speed lighting going toe to toe for a chance for a bigger fight, both guys are on the edge. Pickett always seems on the edge of title contention his only losses since 2007 were to Barao (Interim champ) and Jorgensen that’s not bad. Jabouin is undefeated at 135 with 3 straight decisions and with a over Pickett he will get a top five guy.
Welterweight: John Hathaway (16-1) 169lb vs. John Maguire (18-3) 169lb
Both guys top 170’ers and only 4 losses between the two is very legit the winner of the fight could eek in to the top ten. Hathaway’s only loss in his career to Mike Pyle and before that he won 14 in a row, no one goes undefeated and he has started a new streak. Maguire was won 7 in a row with 4 finishes, his only losses have come to top tier fighters.
Welterweight: Dan Hardy (24-10-1NC) 169lb vs. Amir Sadollah (6-3) 169lb
The only thing that is a bigger lock then Dan Hardy winning is that the sun will come up tomorrow. Hardy since being with the UFC has not lost in his home country, since fighting for the belt against GSP he kind of fell of the earth but he took a while off after his 4th loss in a row and KO’d Ludwig and he seems to be back. Sadollah the TUF 7 winner has spent his whole career inside the UFC, with losses to Hendricks, Dong Hyun Kim, and Ludwig and what do they have in common they are legit. His wins have come against lesser competition.
Heavyweight: Stefan Struve (24-5) 251lb vs. Stipe Miocic (9-0) 239lb
This fight is for a top 5 title in the UFC, both guys top 10 fighters but one guy will jump much closer to title contention. Struve usually has a hiccup while on a run, but right now he is the winner of three in a row all by way of finish, his 3 UFC losses have come by way of hard punchers Browne, Nelson, Dos Santos. Miocic undefeated his record speaks loud, the only person he hasn’t finished was iron chin Joey Beltran, aside from that he stopped everyone.
