The fights started off with Flyweight action in what some might have called a top contenders macth John Moraga and Chris Cariaso fought for the right to be top dog in the smallest UFC division. After 2 rounds of back and forth and very close rounds Moraga was able to get Cariaso on the fence and was able to sink in a choke. Moraga is now 2-0 with 2 finishes since joining the UFC, Cariaso drops to 1-1 at Flyweight. The second fight pitted two guys who don’t know what a ground game is, strikers Max Holloway and Leonard Garcia slugged it out for 3 rounds of very entertaining back and froths. Much like most of Garcia’s fights this one ended in a split decision loss, giving him his 6th split decision in his career and the young Holloway picks up another win as one of the youngest fighters in the UFC picks up his 3rd straight win. The final fight on the Facebook card was between the big guys, the Heavyweights…. Todd Duffee and Phil De Fries entered the ring, and after 2 minutes of action it was over Duffee 2 years removed from his last octagon experience got the W over former top prospect De Fries.
