Siyar Bahadurzada out of UFC 149

By Josh Reese

Siyar Bahadurzada is out at UFC 149 he has scheduled to fight Chris Clements, via twitter Bahadurzada promised when he comes back that he would a top 5 fighter. He was coming off 42 second KO of Paulo Thiago at UFC on Fuel TV 2. UFC 149 has seen its shares of pull outs and like UFC 147 it has many people wondering if the UFC will offer refunds again. UFC 149 will be headlined by Urijah Faber vs Renan Barao for the interim Bantamweight belt. With Bahadurzada out, now steps in Matt Riddle to face Chris Clements.

Clements (11-4) is the owner of one UFC win and the fastest KO in MMA history at 3 seconds. Clements is currently riding a 5 fight win streak, including a KO and TKO of former UFC fighters before he made it to the octagon. With wins over Jonathan Goulet, and Rich Clementi, he made it to the UFC on UFC 145 and pulled out a split decision win against Keith Wisniewski.

Riddle (6-3) is a very lucky fighter he should be 5-4 and could be out of the UFC had the judges scored correctly and given the win to Henry Martinez at UFC 143. He instead got the win via split decision, Riddle is a former TUF 7 veteran and is one of the rare fighters with the UFC as his only experience having never fought outside of the comfy confines of the UFC.

Per fightmatrix.com Riddle is ranked as the 129th Welterweight and Chris Clements is number 71 on their list. A fairly even match up on paper.
