The 1st ever sold out crowd was on hand to witness a stacked card 2 title fights, UFC, Strikeforce vets and even the 1st ever women’s fight inside the Legacy octagon. If you weren’t there then you should have caught it on AXS TV. The packed card did bring it at times, the only fight that was not worth the time was the Flyweight fight between Rafael De Freitas and Antonio Banuelos. The favorite and big fight vet Banuelos was not able to do anything De Freitas at times was just a smidgen better but was deducted a point after landing a kick to a downed opponent, and that was the only reason the fight went to a draw.

The Co-Main event featured Legacy FC’s two division belt holder big fight vet Jorge Patino, after making it through an early rough patch he was able to use his experience and his BJJ to slap on a choke in the 2nd round to retain his Lightweight belt against challenger Derrick Krantz. The Main event between up and comer and KKK beater Derrick Lewis and follow Heavyweight Ricky Shivers. The fight was and good back and forth at times, and on the feet Lewis was the better but he allowed himself to be taken down at will. Each fighter had their own attempt at a submission. Lewis had a deep kimura but ended up losing it, while Krantz had an armbar in the last seconds of round 2 but ran out of time. Lewis is the 3rd round was able to get a trip and did not let Shivers back up and the fight ended after a lot of ground and pound.
