Jorge Santiago Vs Leonardo Pecanha Announced As Main Event At Titan 21

By: Mike Thorwart

Titan Fighting Championships official announced roughly an hour ago that former UFC fighter, Jorge Santiago (23-10 MMA) will be taking on BJJ world champion, Leonardo Pecanha (14-7 MMA) at Titan Fighting 21 on Friday, March 2nd live on HDNet.

Santiago got his second chance in the UFC after going 7-1 in the Sengoku and 2-0 in Strikeforce prior to that which made him 9-1 in his past 10 fights. However, Santiago’s momentum was stopped abruptly by UFC middleweight stand out, Brian Stann where we saw Santiago get TKO’d in the 2nd round. He got one more fight in the UFC and that was against another top middleweight in the name of Demian Maia. Maia defeated Santiago via unanimous decision at UFC 136 in October of 2011. The UFC then released Santiago after that fight.

Santiago is coming into this fight looking to prove that he is still a force to be dealt with in the world of MMA.

This is sure to be a great a main event to a great card.

The Titan Fighting 21 card now looks as follows:

Main Event: Jorge Santiago Vs Leonardo Pecanha

Co-Main Event: Joe “Nose” Wilk Vs Andrew Carrillo

Joe Ellenberger Vs Jesse Zeugin
Brandon Pfannensteil Vs Sharkbait
Junior Hernandez Vs Kevin Croom
Mirsad Bektic Vs Cody Carrillo

Amateur Undercard:
