Invicta has shown that they are for real the women are also for real and bring it for every fight, out of the 14 card event only one fight could be considered boring or slow. A weekend that featured fights from promotions like Bellator and the UFC, the ladies brought more action then either UFC on FX 5 and Bellator 75. The ladies proved that they need a bigger platform, the internet while free and great could be stunting there growth.
Yes we love that the fights are on the computer but really, when you break it down you have to be tied to a computer all night. After watching all 3 fight cards on the internet, it’s great but it’s a little bit of a pain. You can’t toss Invicta parties and watch the fights, you can’t go to a bar and watch the ladies throw down while tossing back a beer. Sure we all we keep watching and supporting but in order to reach a higher level they need a TV partner.
People are saying they need to go the way of PPV but NO WAY in today’s economy people have a hard time paying for UFC PPV’s and even though the ladies bring the action the UFC will always beat the ladies. Free TV needs to be the way to go to further the ladies game, not only will it help with higher pay for the ladies and bigger sponsors it also could help grow the love for the ladies, not everyone has great internet and confection and can watch Invicta, but almost everyone in the world has a TV and access to sport channels.
