If Eddie Alvarez (22-3 MMA, 6-1 BFC) resigns with Bellator, where is he within that division? Alvarez’ next fight will take place at Bellator 66 where he will try to avenge his 2008 loss to Shinya Aoki. After that fight, he has six months to fight his last fight with Bellator on his current contract.
The UFC has expressed interest in Alvarez in the past but with the recent loss to Chandler, it sort of put thing to a halt.
Alvarez has requested a rematch with Chandler but Bellator CEO, Bjorn Rebney holds firm on the Bellator tournament format.
