Via First Round Management Release
“El Bandido” Elvin Leon Brito, considered by many as the top pound-for-pound fighter in Puerto Rico, has signed a representation agreement with First Round Management, President and CEO Malki Kawa announced today.
“I am happy to be represented by the top agency in mixed martial arts,” Brito said. “This will help me to fully focus on my training and fighting career as I continue to improve.”
“Elvin Leon Brito adds to our already strong roster of Lightweight fighters. While he is still young in his MMA career, he has a wealth of knowledge as a fighter,” Kawa added.
Brito, a native of Maunabo, Puerto Rico, holds a 6-0 professional MMA record. He has won by either knockout, TKO or submission in five of his victories.
Before starting his MMA career, the 26 year-old Brito saw success as an amateur boxer, winning 21 fights, four via knockout. He is also highly skilled in Jiu-Jitsu and kickboxing. In 2011, he won the Puerto Rico kickboxing championship at 154 lbs. and was the FJJBPR No-Gi national champion, also held in Puerto Rico.
Brito currently trains at PACMMA in Joliet, Ill.
