Via Press Release From Coalition Fight Music
(San Francisco, March 7th) Coalition Fight Music announced today that the group has formally signed British Welterweight Contender Jamaine “Mr Pain” Facey to a new promotional media deal in the states and will be sponsoring the flashy fighter in his upcoming Title fight at UCMMA 28.
“Mr Pain” (@MrPainBandogMMA) is coming off a spectacular win streak KO’ing both of his past opponents with flying knees to earn a shot at the belt that was vacated by the UFC’s John Maguire. The London native and Team Bandog leader is already well known in the UK for his “Sunday Brawl” fight promotion and his “Hands up/Guns down” outreach program geared at getting “at risk” youth off the streets and in the cage to compete.
Tony Savo says: “Jamaine Facey is an all-star. He’s a very dynamic striker, got a slick submission game and he’s deeply involved in his community. The guy represents everything good in the sport and we really think he’s the next UK guy to get the call from Zuffa.”
Jamaine Facey says: “Im a fighter, Ive been working for this my whole life. There’s loads of talent here in the Kingdom but not everyone gets the exposure to make it to the next level, Im excited to get my shine.”
The sponsorship is part of a new telecommunications deal CFM locked late last year with UCMMA, Samsung Mobile, and Tesco’s to push the “fastest growing sport in the world” via mainsream retail, broadcast and mobile platforms. Savo announced last week on TapouT Radio the agreement will allow CFM to promote various fighters, sponsors and promotions directly to Samsung’s 20 million smart phone subscribers around the world and that Facey will be the first fighter to be showcased.
